Drag or touch to swap adjacent pieces and create matches of 3 or more same-colored tiles. Matching adjacent to ice blocks destroys them and adds bonus points to your score. The player with the highest score when the 2-minute timer expires wins. Your Elo rating updates after each match based on the outcome and the rating difference between you and your opponent.

Competitive Match-3 Tactics: Ice clearing is your top priority in the first 30 seconds. A frozen board halves your available moves, and once ice covers more than 40% of the board, you're basically playing defense for the rest of the match. Use your early moves to clear ice clusters near the center, as central tiles give you the most adjacency options. Don't get tunnel vision on a single area—spread your ice clearing across the entire board to keep all zones accessible.

Chain reactions (combos) are how you win matches. A simple 3-match might earn 30 points, but a well-planned move that triggers a cascade of 2-3 additional matches can score 150+ points and clear multiple ice blocks simultaneously. Look for "setup" positions where one swap creates a match, which drops new pieces into place that create another match, and so on. The pieces fall from the top, so clearing matches in the upper half of the board tends to create more cascade opportunities than clearing at the bottom.

Denial play is underutilized. If you see your opponent setting up for a big combo (e.g., positioning pieces for a 4-match or 5-match), make a move that disrupts their setup, even if it's not optimal for your own score. Taking 20 points away from them is as good as earning 20 points yourself. In the final 30 seconds, switch to pure point maximization—grab every available match regardless of ice clearing, as board mobility matters less when time is about to expire.
